Seventy Degrees & Hiking in Snow

A few weekends ago we decided to take a day trip up to the Mesa to avoid the heat of town. It was a gorgeous seventy degrees–the perfect temperature for a picnic. After lunch, we started down a trail only to be stopped a quarter mile in by an abundance of snow.

We finally gave up and turned back when we lost the trail completely, but we all wished we could have hiked a little longer.

It was fun to walk through, and because it was so warm out, we didn’t get cold. As you can see, though, the snow was pretty dirty, so we didn’t play in it too much. And, yes, that’s lazy Gunther, acting like a puppy.

He loves snow. Loves it. To the moon and back.
